Brereton Lodge Annexe is a first floor flat situated in the old servants quarters of this beautiful stone build arts and crafts era hour designed and build by W.H. Brierely of York in 1902 as a shooting lodge.

Goathland is one of the North Yorkshire Moors’ most beautiful and regularly visited villages, ideal for walking and for vistiting the coast (8 miles away) as well as the many interesting market towns and villages in and around the National Park. The wide commons are still grazed by moorland sheet and the village is surrounded by many becks and waterfalls.

The flat has its own separate entrance at the back of the house. From all rooms there are views of the surrounding commons and moorland.

The house itself is situated in three acres of grounds, shared with ducks, hens and cats. It is set back from the road and secluded yet conveniently placed for village facilities – the shops and bus stop being immediately opposite and steak railway 5 minutes walk down the road.

The flat itself contains:

  • Entrance Hall/Cloakroom on the ground floor with ample space for soring shoes and outdoor clothes as well as a desk for quite work.

  • Sitting/Lounge area is reach by the stairs to the first floor. This room includes an open fireplace, comfortable chairs and sofa as well as a colour television.

  • The simple kitchen includes electric cooker, fridge and microwave as wel as food storage cupboards and dining area (seats 4 comfortably).

  • The modern spacious bathroom includes bath with shower, WC and band Basin

  • Bedroom 1 – a small but ample room with two single beds and storage furniture

  • Reading area – along with corridor a small library/reading area with selection of books and games for young and old. Another possible bed space

  • Bedroom 2 is a spacious room looking out east to the orchard and meadow with double bed and single bed and bedroom furniture. The bedroom also has a separate band basin

  • A cot and high chair are available.

  • Other Information

    Sleeping – The Flat sleeps a maximum of five people

    Heading/Hot water – This is provided by an oil fired central heating system controlled from a time clock in the entrance hall.

    Fire Exits – As well as a separate entrance the flat has an additional fire escape door and is fully equipped with smoke alarms

    Parking – There is plenty of off road parking available close to the house.

    Availability – The flat is available from 4pm on Saturday to 10am on the following Saturday – negotiable. Durring the peak summer period, from the beginning of May to the end of October, we prefer not to let for short breaks but it is always worth asking.

    Charges – These vary according season. Please see Price List. Prices include bed linen, heating and electricity. Please bring your own towels.

    Booking fee – A deposit of 25% is requested when making a booking.

    Children and Pets – Children and well-behaved pets are welcome. We ask that dogs be kept on leads at all times outside as we have free range checkens, ducks and cats.
